The newest album of NEEDTOBREATHE is allowing the band to grow from their usual direction for the past twenty years. Lead singer, songwriter, and founding member Bear Rinehart has expressed that this album has been made without overconsciously shaping it. For him, he thinks that “It’s definitely a better indicator of where we’re headed than where we’ve ever been, and in a lot of ways it feels it’s our very first record.” The Long Surrender Tour will have 25 shows across 18 states.
Two decades later, the discography of NEEDTOBREATHE consists of 10 studio albums, 12 extended plays, and 64 singles. They have a solid fanbase of consistent listeners and have gained three billion career streams throughout their career. Their incredible talent and contribution to the genres of alternative rock and folk rock have been recognized with a Grammy Award nomination and a Billboard Music Award nomination. Some of their most notable hits include Multiplied, Who Am I, and I Am Yours.
